Geometry looks different depending on your school
On the traditional track, Geometry is its own year between Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. In the Grossmont Union schools, it’s woven through Integrated Math 1–3 a strand at a time. We tutor both — and for integrated students, we’re especially useful when the class switches from an algebra unit to a geometry unit mid-year and the ground shifts.
The proof problem, specifically
Most geometry struggles are really writing struggles: students see why something is true but can’t build the chain of statements that proves it. We teach proofs the way you’d teach an essay — claim, evidence, structure — until the blank page stops being scary.
