We start with a diagnostic, not a guess
A stronger test score opens doors — better college options and real scholarship money. Shater Learning Center offers focused SAT and ACT prep for El Cajon and East County students, built around a real diagnostic instead of a one-size-fits-all packet.
Every student begins with a full-length practice SAT or ACT. We score it, break down exactly where the points are being lost, and tell you honestly which test plays to your student’s strengths — the digital SAT or the ACT. Then we build a prep plan around that.
What we prep
- Digital SAT — the adaptive, Bluebook-based format: Reading & Writing and Math modules
- ACT — English, Math, Reading, Science, and the optional Writing section
- PSAT/NMSQT — for sophomores and juniors aiming at National Merit
- Test-taking strategy — pacing, elimination, and calculator/no-calculator technique
Built for East County and Rancho San Diego students
We work with juniors and seniors from Valhalla, Granite Hills, Steele Canyon, Monte Vista, Grossmont, and Christian High — timed to the fall and spring test dates these students actually sit for. Sessions run one-on-one or in small groups at our Jamacha Road center or online over Google Meet.
