Summer is when the math gap either closes or widens. Our Summer Math Bridge Program keeps El Cajon students sharp over the break and gets them ready for the specific course they’re walking into in the fall — so September isn’t a scramble.
What the program does
Most students lose ground in math over summer. Bridge flips that: instead of drilling last year’s material, we preview the course your student is about to take — so they start the year ahead instead of behind.
- Rising middle schoolers: pre-algebra readiness for Hillsdale, Los Coches Creek, College Prep Middle, and Cajon Valley
- Rising 9th graders: the jump into Integrated Math 1 / Algebra 1 at Valhalla, Granite Hills, Steele Canyon, and Monte Vista
- Rising 10th–12th: get ahead on Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, or AP Calculus
How it runs
Small in-person groups at our El Cajon center, with one-on-one available for students who need it. Flexible weekly scheduling that works around family travel and camps.
- 6 weeks, two sessions a week (1 hour 15 mins per session)
- $450 per student
- In person at Shater Learning Center
Why it’s worth it
- Start the school year confident instead of catching up
- Small groups keep it affordable and social
- Local tutors who know exactly what’s coming at each school
- Flexible enough to fit around a normal El Cajon summer
