Welcome to Shater Learning Center (“Shater Learning Center,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, tutoring services, educational programs, and related offerings. By accessing our website or enrolling in our services, you agree to these Terms.

  1. Services

Shater Learning Center provides academic tutoring, test preparation, homework assistance, enrichment programs, workshops, and educational resources for students of various grade levels.

Tutoring services are intended to support academic growth but do not guarantee specific grades, test scores, admissions, or academic outcomes.

  1. Registration

Parents or legal guardians must register students under 18 years of age.

By registering, you agree that:

  • All information provided is accurate and current.
  • You will notify us of any changes to your contact information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining accurate billing information.
  1. Scheduling

Tutoring sessions are scheduled based on tutor availability.

Appointment availability is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Recurring monthly schedules are reserved only after payment has been received.

  1. Payments

Payment is due according to your selected tutoring package.

Late or unpaid balances may result in suspension of tutoring services until payment is received.

Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

  1. Cancellation Policy

Single tutoring sessions may be cancelled for future credit or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled session.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

No-shows are considered completed sessions and are non-refundable.

Monthly tutoring packages follow their own attendance and makeup policies.

  1. Makeup Sessions

Makeup sessions are offered when proper cancellation notice is provided and scheduling permits.

Missed sessions due to no-shows or late cancellations may not be eligible for makeup.

  1. Refund Policy

Unless otherwise noted, there are no refunds for any booked sessions. Cancelled sessions receive credits for future sessions.

Completed tutoring sessions are non-refundable.

Administrative or processing fees may apply when applicable.

  1. Student Conduct

Students are expected to:

  • Arrive on time.
  • Treat tutors and staff respectfully.
  • Follow center rules.
  • Use appropriate language and behavior.

Shater Learning Center reserves the right to discontinue services for disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behavior.

  1. Parent Responsibilities

Parents are responsible for:

  • Timely payment.
  • Providing accurate emergency contact information.
  • Informing us of any learning accommodations or concerns that may impact tutoring.
  1. Educational Disclaimer

While we strive to improve every student’s academic performance, we cannot guarantee:

  • Grade improvements
  • Test score increases
  • Admission to any school or program
  • Scholarship awards

Student success depends on attendance, effort, participation, and outside study.

  1. Intellectual Property

All educational materials, worksheets, assessments, lesson plans, graphics, videos, logos, and website content remain the property of Shater Learning Center unless otherwise stated.

Materials may not be copied, redistributed, sold, or published without written permission.
